What do we mean by eyelid surgery?
When people say “eyelid surgery,” they usually mean removing excess skin from a drooping upper eyelid (known as blepharoplasty).
When more is needed: eyelid drooping (ptosis)
However, countless problems and conditions can arise in the area around the eye, and solving them requires a complex approach and an ophthalmologist experienced in eyelid surgery. When someone cannot open their eye sufficiently, so-called eyelid drooping (“ptosis”) can develop.
How do we correct it?
We correct such cases with a complex surgery, lifting the eyelid and also removing the excess skin.
