Introduction
I earned my degree at the University of Debrecen in 2017. Afterward I started working as an ophthalmology resident at the Jahn Ferenc South Pest Hospital. As part of my training I spent three years at the Semmelweis University Department of Ophthalmology, where from the very beginning I was captivated by the diversity of eyelid reconstruction surgeries, the depth of technical and anatomical knowledge behind precise procedures, and the remarkable regenerative capacity of the eyelid.
After the Hungarian ophthalmology board exam, I also took the international board exam (FEBO: Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology).
I stayed in public healthcare afterward, and at our hospital I established an eyelid surgery outpatient clinic and surgical unit. As part of this, I introduced eyelid reconstruction surgeries in line with the latest guidelines, which I now perform routinely. Sharing knowledge is important to me, which is why I am still teaching younger doctors today.
I consider clear and empathetic doctor-patient communication especially important, and my goal is to always do my work with great attention and enthusiasm.
My main focus areas:
- general ophthalmology
- cataract surgery
- eyelid malpositions (entropion, ectropion, ptosis)
- tumor removal
- aesthetic eyelid surgery
